Dimapur, September 17 (MExN): NEISSR students had an interface programme with professionals from NIIT center at NEISSR Conference Hall on September 12. The resource persons were Subhasis Sarkar, NIIT Ltd, Territory Manager, East Network, Ajay Sethi MD, NIIT Dimapur and Mughato Swu, Placement Executive.
Subhasis Sarkar shared about the student oriented activities undertaken by NIIT and informed about the various programs and courses available. He also shared about demand of Data Entry Professionals with increasing number of Government/Public sector organizations digitizing their records.
The programme educated the youths on the importance of IT Skills, a very important requirement in today’s work environment which enable them to learn the basics of Computer Applications. He invited the students to participate on world computer literacy day cum NIIT Foundation Day on December 2 and take up the social responsibility by educating the younger generation on computer literacy.
Ajay Shethi mentioned about the soft skills offered by the NIIT Centre, Dimapur. There was question hour and interactions between the NIIT professionals and social work students. Rev. Fr. John Poji, the administrator and Vice Principal NEISSR welcomed and honored the guests. Viveni, President, Student Council concluded the programme with a vote of thanks.
