Chümoukedima/Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Preparations for the Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) 2026 have gathered pace in Chümoukedima and Dimapur, with key video conferences and capacity-building sessions scheduled for April 22.
The full-scale NEPEx mock drill will be conducted on April 30 across districts, preceded by a table-top exercise in Chümoukedima on April 29.
In Chümoukedima, the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) under the Office of the Deputy Commissioner has convened a video conference at 11:30 AM on April 22 at the DC’s Conference Hall. All concerned officers from line departments have been requested to attend the programme physically at the venue.
These include all administrative officers, Police Department, 22 Assam Rifles, CTC, DRDA, Health & Family Welfare (CMO & MS), Fire & Emergency Services, PHED, Water Resources Department, PWD (R&B), PWD (NH), Power Department, Transport Department, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry (V&AH), Food & Civil Supplies, DIPR, and CAN Youth Organisation.
Meanwhile, in Dimapur, a virtual capacity-building programme for NEPEx 2026 will be held on April 22 at 11:30 AM at the Video Conference Hall, NIC, DC’s Office. The programme is being organised as part of directives issued by the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), Home Department, Kohima.
As per the State DIPR, in both districts, Heads of Departments have been asked to ensure participation or nominate a senior officer in case of absence, while other Heads of Offices urged to join their respective workplaces to ensure wider coordination.
