KOHIMA, OCTOBER 7 (MExN): The 21st NSF Martyrs’ Memorial Trophy 2021, will kick start from October 9 onwards at IG Stadium Kohima, which will commence from 4:30 pm.
The inaugural match will be played between New Market FC and Phesama Youth Organization
L Dikho, Minister, PHED, Printing & Stationary, Government of Manipur will grace the inaugural progamme as the special guest.
In the opening day, spectators will be allowed to enter for free. A press release from the Angami Students’ Union (ASU) informed that popular personalities like Ruopfuzhano Whiso (FBB Colors Femina Miss India Nagaland 2018), Thejasenuo Kire, Nourhengunuo Zatsua and Thejakhrienuo Pienyü will appear before the crowd with various performances.
During the month long tournament, Rs 30 will be realized as entry fee till round matches. 52 teams will be competing for the coveted trophy. In the round matches till October 20, three matches per day will be played, while two match per day will be played from October 22 to 30.
Matches commencing from the quarter finals will be played at nights. The organizers will also be inviting celebrated Naga artists and personalities in almost all match days, the press release stated.
The Northern Angami Students’ Union (NASU) will be managing the ground and the organizing committee has invited all football lovers to come and witness the tournament.
All the participating team coaches and managers have been asked to report to IG Stadium, Kohima at 3:00 pm on October 8 for technical briefing.
