New Milak Bridge at Mokokchung completed

Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): Former minister Chubatemjen Ao lauds the Nagaland government for constructing a vital second bridge over Milak River on the road connecting Mopungchuket village and Khar village in Mokokchung. He expressed gratitude that Minister for Roads & Bridges announced in the state legislative assembly that the construction of a second bridge over Milak River is complete. The bridge is over the river, on the road connecting Mopungchuket and Khar villages. “Besides the commitment made by the minister to take over the road from Mopungchuket tea garden to Mangkolemba via Khar village by the state Roads and Bridges department has been received with great cheer and jubilation to the people of the area,” Ao stated.

‘The particular stretch of road was constructed and maintained in segmented manner over the years by the village authorities of Mopungchuket and Khar but because of the earnest and dedicated efforts made by Nungsangyabang, MLA, has made this dream come true for which I would like to record my most sincere appreciation and congratulations to him.’

Once the road becomes operational after the formal opening of the bridge, Ao stated, the road would be shorter by around 50 kilometers to Dimapur and particularly for those living in Impur, Angetyongpang, Arkakong areas and certain areas under Tuensang and Longleng. The former minister also appreciated the government for upgrading Mangkolemba ADC Sub-Division to a full-fledged sub-division with an independent sub-division Planning and Development Board. The news of this development is received with great happiness, Ao stated.
