New SDO (Civil) office inaugurated in Ralan

Wokha, December 16 (MExN): A new Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) office was inaugurated at Ralan in Wokha district on December 15.

The office was inaugurated by local MLA and Chairman of the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB), Bhandari, Achumbemo Kikon, stated a DIPR report. 

Speaking at the event, Kikon described the new office as a ‘significant milestone’ in bringing administration closer to remote areas and enhancing public service delivery.

He urged officers to serve with dedication and transparency and appealed to citizens for cooperation. He also encouraged youth leaders to partner in promoting peace and development in the region, asserting the government’s commitment to inclusive growth in border areas.

Assistant Engineer (CAWD) Er Daniel H Lotha, in a technical report, said the total projected cost for the RCC structure building is Rs 80 lakh. It has a total plinth area of 2292.94 sq.ft and includes site services like water supply, sanitation, and power connection.

The programme was chaired by Tsenthungo E. Ngullie and featured a dedicatory prayer by Pastor Renben Ovung. Short speeches were delivered by Additional Deputy Commissioner Renbomo Ezung, Ralan Area Lotha Hoho Chairman Samuel Ovung, and contractor Ren Murry.

Lawrence Ovung, Chairman of the Ralan Range Union, Dimapur, delivered the vote of thanks.
