AG (A&E) informs state govt pensioners

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The office of the Accountant Genera (A&E) has informed all retired State Government officials that pension and GPF final payment cases settled for July and August 2018 have been uploaded on the AG Nagaland website www.agnagaland.gov.in. The list has also been put up for display at the Public Relation Cell. Grievances can be sent to the Deputy Accountant General (A&E), Kahoto J Yepthomi via e-mail at kahoto_j@yahoo.co.in or agaenagaland@cag.gov. in or through a handwritten letter. All days except Wednesday will be observed as public interview days from 11:00am to 1:30 pm.    

AH & VS informs CVOs for availing vaccines

Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The Animal Husbandary and Veterinary Services Nagaland has informed all Chief Veterinary Officers to collect vaccines under Assistance to States for Control of Animal Diseases (ASCAD), Classical Swine Fever Control Programme (CSF-CP) and Mouth Disease Control Programme (FMD-CP) CSF-CP for the year 2017-18. A release from Dr Aomangyang Walling, Director AH & VS, Kohima also asked the same to carry out Post Monsoon Vaccination against economically important diseases; and to observe World Anti Rabies Day by carrying out mass vaccination on Canine Rabies. The vaccines can be collected from the Directorate during office working hour.    

Beware of Fake Mockdrills: NSDMA

Kohima, September 24 (MExN): The Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NDSMA) in a public circular cautioned the public to be careful of impersonators posing as Disaster Management Authority Officers and conducting mock drills and trainings. The circular was issued in the wake of a recent incident where impersonators posing as a Training Officer of the Disaster Management Authority Tamil Nadu led to a fatal head injury with one student at Koval Kalaimagal college of Arts & Science, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. During the drill, the students were asked to jump from the second floor onto a net leading to the death of the student. It informed the public that the NSDMA does not authorize any private person or organization to carry out Mock Drills/Training on its behalf.    

CMA condemns murder of police inspector

Kohima, September 23 (MExN): The Chakhesang Mothers’ Association (CMA) has condemned the murder of late Neiphretuo Metsie-o, Inspector of 5th NAP Battalion, Phek, who was posted at Pfutsero. In a condemnation note, the CMA expressing sorrow over the death demanded that the law enforcers award stringent punishment and added that no bail should be granted.    

DC Wokha informs on arms license

WOKHA, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner of Wokha, Dr. Manazir Jeelani Samoon has informed all Arms License holders under Wokha district, who are yet to register their license in the National Database of Arms License (NDAL) and generation of UIN, to collect the NDAL Registration from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner Wokha and submit it on or before January 31, 2019. Failure to comply with this directive shall result in cancellation of License, informed the notice.    

DPRO Pungro visits IA Centre Pungro

PUNGRO, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The District Public Relations Officer (DPRO) Kiphire, K. Zeliang visited Information Assistant Office, Pungro on September 22. The DPRO met with the staff and encouraged them to be sincere and regular in the office and urged them to deliver service to the public on time. Zeliang also advocated regular attendance in offices. He informed that he will give report to the Department regarding Office building condition for renovation. Meanwhile, the Information Assistant, Pungro mentioned on the need for better public address equipments.    

Election Observer visits Peren

JALUKIE, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): Election Observer for Peren district, Ahola visited Jalukie coinciding with the BLOs Special Campaign and reminded the DC to timely inform the public about the enrolment, correction, deletion of multiple entries, shifted and dead voters, transfer/transposition in the forms applicable depending on the conditions. The Observor also visited polling stations at GPS Dobashi Lane Ward No. 1 Jalukie town, Samziuram village Sector A, Jalukie B Village C block.    

Ex gratia handed over to mother of drowned victim

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner and Chairman DDMA Kohima today handed over Rs 4 lakhs as Ex-Gratia to S Chikumla Yimso, whose daughter had drowned at Dzucharu river, Phesama Village under Kohima district on July 29. It may be mentioned that the mother was also swept off by powerful river current but was later rescued by the State Disaster Response Force Team of Kohima.    

Kohima DC informs on relief disbursement

KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 24 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, DDMA Kohima has informed that the relief disbursement for Kohima district shall commence from September 27 till October 10 at the DDMA Cell, DC’s Office, Kohima from 11:00am to 2:00pm. In this regard, all beneficiaries have been informed to come in person and produce a photocopy of Aadhaar card and 2 passport sized photographs.  

MITE alumni office bearers elected

Dimapur, September 24 (MExN): A meeting of Alumni Association of Modern Institute of Teacher Education (MITE) was held at the college premises on September 15. The meeting elected new alumni office bearers for the tenure 2018-2020. Eight persons were elected as office bearers for the tenure 2018-2020 with Diethonuo Meyase as President, Jenjen Kamei as Vice President, Vezosalü Swuro as General Secretary along with six other members. Batch representatives were also elected accordingly. 11 members attended the meeting, a press release from Devanand Sinha, Principal stated.
