The North East Zone Cultural Centre (NEZCC) Dimapur today organised a cultural extravaganza as part of the 26th edition of Hornbill Festival 2025 at Naga Heritage Village, Kisama.
Eight North eastern states performed dances and songs in this event amidst a packed audience at Unity Plaza.
Mizoram performed Cheraw while Arunachal Pradesh enlightened the crowd with Juju Jaja Dance.
Manipur displayed Duisha Laam Dance while Tripura, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Assam performed Bizu dance, Nzanta Dance, Mastieh dance, Singhi Chham Dance and Chong Kedam Dance respectively.
In solo performance, Arunachal Pradesh performed Rikhampada dance, Manipur- Kit Lam Dance, Nagaland- Mungyanta dance, Mizoram- Sarlamkai dance, Meghalaya- Harvest dance, Tripura- Jhum dance while Assam enthralled the gathering with Ritnong Chingdi dance.
Y.Patton, Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland and Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome, Advisor School Education & SCERT graced the event as host and co-host respectively.
S.Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology and Dhruvank Vaidya, Spotify head of music and podcast India were the special guests of the event.
Mentionably, NEZCC is a regular participant of the Hornbill Festival.
The diverse performances from the eight North Eastern states added colour to the Hornbill Festival.
