DIMAPUR, AUGUST 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Football Association (NFA) has today issued a clarification with regard to “unauthentic reports” with regard to the 23rd Dr T Ao Inter District Football tournament which was to be held at Tuensang hosted by Tuensang District Football Association (TDFA).
A press release from the NFA said that the host district proposed two dates for the conduct of the tournament, but due to pre scheduled engagements, the events could not be held as requested. The NFA Executives with official from TDFA held a consultative meeting on August 22 at Reiphinyu Badze Kohima to discuss on the conduct of the 23rd Dr T Ao Inter District Football tournament. “The members after taking into consideration all aspects decided to fix the date from February 6, 2024 onwards,” it informed.
The NFA further informed that the Nagaland State Futsal tournament will be held in the last part of October 2023, hosted by the Chumukedima District Football Association (CDFA). The date for the said tournament shall be notified after the final consultation with the officials of the CDFA respectively.
