Naganimora, August 17 (MExN): A joint inspection of the ongoing Foothills Road construction at Naganimora Division was carried out on August 16 by a team comprising the Concerned Department, the contractor firm M/S Yanna Enterprise, the Konyak Union Unit led by the Naganimora Unit President, five Village Council Chairmen and Village leaders of Naganimora Division, along with the Nagaland Foothill Road Coordination Committee (NFHRCC).
The Chairmen and leaders of the five villages expressed appreciation to the Public Works Department (PWD), Roads and Bridges, and the contractor firm “for cohesively carrying forward ongoing Foothills Road construction at Naganimora Division.” They further encouraged the NFHRCC “for diligently advocating for the success of the Foothills Road connectivity from Tizit to Khelma and urged upon them not to abandon in monitoring and supervise works progress along with the concerned Department till the Project is successfully completed.”
The village leaders also assured the committee of their “fullest support…for the noble sacrifices that the committee had been shouldering since 2013 without a break.” According to the inspection team, only 30 per cent of the allocated works have been completed so far. However, the contractor firm assured that “they will complete the work by November 2025 positively.”
