The CPD with JFMC Members of Piphema Old Village and Forest Officers after the inauguration of water harvesting structure cum marketing shed.
Kohima, November 29 (MExN): The PCCF & HoFF Nagaland and Chief Project Director, NFMP Dharmendra Prakash, IFS inaugurated the water harvesting structure cum marketing shed constructed under the Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) funded by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) at Piphema Old Village.
The water harvesting structure cum marketing shed has been constructed to provide easy access for collection of rain water and also to create a permanent structure for selling local goods by the SHG members of any households in and around the village area, stated a press release received here.
The PCCF & HoFF in his speech encouraged the villagers and the NFMP team to keep striving for successful implementation throughout the various activities of the project with their active co-operation.
Vineisolie Kehie, JFMC Chairman of Piphema Old Village, thanked the Forest Department for taking an active role in implementing the project in their village. The programme was chaired by Vivika Sema, ACF cum ADMU Head Dimapur and Keneilhoukholie Kuotsu, Pastor Piphema Old Baptist Church said the invocation prayer.
Earlier, Chief Minister of Nagaland, Neiphiu Rio inaugurated the Traditional Gate of Piphema Old Village on October 21 and Beizo Suokhrie, IFS DFO cum DMU Head Dimapur inaugurated the Marketing Shed at Pherima A Village on November 19. Both structures were constructed as entry point activity under the NFMP (JICA) Project.
