NFR extends periodicity of special trains

Maligaon, August 23 (MExN): Northeast Frontier Railway has decided to continue the services of special trains running between Silchar-Naharlagun and Agartala-Guwahati for 13 more trips in both directions from the next month till November, 2023. The periodicity of run of these special trains will be extended to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling to and from the Southern part of Northeast.

The service of special train No. 05638 (Silchar-Naharlagun) will be extended to run for 13 trips from September 4 till November 27, 2023. The special train will depart from Silchar at 13:50 hours on every Monday to reach Naharlagun at 08:40 hours the next day. In return direction, the special train No. 05637 (Naharlagun-Silchar) will run for 13 trips from September 5 till November 28. The special train will depart from Naharlagun at 10:00 hours on every Tuesday to reach Silchar at 05:20 hours the next day. The special train consists of 20 coaches comprising of AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier and sleeper class coaches. 

Moreover, the service of special train No. 05628 (Agartala-Guwahati) will be continued to run for 13 trips from September 7 till November 30. The train will depart from Agartala at 19:00 hours on every Thursday to reach Guwahati at 08:45 hours the next day. In return direction, special train No. 05627 (Guwahati-Agartala) will run for 13 trips from September 8 till December 1. The train will depart from Guwahati at 13:15 hours on every Friday to reach Agartala at 04:10 hours the next day. The special train consists of 21 coaches comprising of AC 3-tier, sleeper class and general second class coaches.

The details of stoppages and timings of these special trains are available at IRCTC website and are also being notified in various newspapers and social media platforms of NF Railway. Passengers have been requested to verify the details before undertaking their journey.
