NFR observes cleanliness drive

Maligaon, August 14 (MExN): A week long special cleanliness drive has been launched in Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) from August 10 to 16 in connection with the Independence Day celebrations along with rest of the Indian Railways.

According to a press release from NFR CPRO Subhanan Chanda, the focus will be on maintaining cleanliness of track, stations, offices, colonies, work sites and other areas near railway premises particularly in the vicinity of cities and towns.

“During the drive, special attention is being given on intensive cleaning of stations, trains, water vending points, toilets, drains etc with active participation of Railwaymen and Charitable trust by observing social distancing norms” the CPRO said.

As part of the drive, railway colonies, stations, office premises etc are being thoroughly cleaned all over NFR including in all five divisions.
