Dimapur, January 7 (MExN): The Nagaland GBs Federation (NGBF) has appealed to the GBs of the Yimchungrü and Tikhir communities to cooperate with the State administration and play a vital role to bring peace and settle the matter amicably.
In a press release signed by President of NGBF, Shaleem Konyak, General Secretary, Shikuto Zalipu and I&P Secretary, Akhu Naga, the NGBF urged the communities concerned to “refrain from any actions which may create displeasure and condemnations.”
According to the NGBF, the Yimchungrü and Tikhir communities should resolve the problems “based on traditionally bonded relationship.”
“We, the Nagas are traditionally, customarily inter-woven which were practiced by our fore-fathers since time immemorial. Therefore, keeping in view of our rich legacies, both the brothers should settle the differences with the help of genuine effort rendering by our State Govt.,” the Federation affirmed.
