Dimapur, September 12 (MExN): Multiple landslides struck the Dimapur–Kohima National Highway-29 near Chümoukedima checkpost and Paga Pahar on the afternoon of September 12, disrupting traffic along the busy stretch. One vehicle was damaged during the incident, but its lone occupant managed to escape without injury.
Meanwhile, the DC Choumukedima informed that light vehicles are to only ply from Chumoukedima Town (Old Check Gate) to New Chumoukedima via Old Chumoukedima Village Road. Further, heavy vehicles are to take the route from 7th Mile — Pimla — Mhainamtsi — Medziphema — Kohima. The stretch of road along NH-29 from Chathe Bridge to New Chumoukedima shall temporarily remain closed to all forms of traffic until further orders.
