Block Health Melas were held at Atoizu PHC (Sadar Block) and Tizu Island & Kathara SC (Suruhuto Block) on March 21 and 22 respectively.
Zunheboto, March 25 (MExN): Under the aegis of the National Health Mission (NHM), the District Health Society, Zunheboto organised Block Health Melas at Atoizu PHC (Sadar Block) and Tizu Island & Kathara SC (Suruhuto Block) on March 21 and 22 respectively.
An update received here stated that these initiatives were aimed at delivering quality healthcare services to hard-to-reach areas and villages lacking regular health unit coverage, providing free and comprehensive healthcare services to communities with limited access to
medical facilities ensuring that people benefit from government health schemes.
During the mela, the key services offered at the were creation of digital health ID to streamline healthcare records, screening for Communicable & Non-Communicable Diseases and provision of necessary medical care, issuance of PM-JAY-CMHIS to enhance financial protection in healthcare; health awareness & education on preventive healthcare and disease management; tele-consultation & referral services to connect patients with specialist care.
During the Block Health Mela, a total of 354 beneficiaries availed various services, Dental Care 96 patients, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, 5 tubectomy procedures, ENT Services 43 patients, Ophthalmic Care: 96 patients.
The medical team was led by Dr Antoly Suu, Deputy CMO, Zunheboto, Dr Heto Swu, DPO (UIP & RCH), Dr Meyielhi Kapfo, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, DH Zunheboto, Dr Josia, ENT Specialist, DH Zunheboto, RBSK and MMU team, DPMU staff along with ophthalmic assistant, Mobile ICTC, PMJAY-CMHIS coordinators.
