National Health System Resource Centre team conducted review of Nagaland's community health programs during their visit to Khonoma and Rusoma villages on May 20.

Kohima, May 20 (MExN): A team from the National Health System Resource Centre (NHSRC) conducted review of Nagaland's community health programs during their visit to Khonoma and Rusoma villages on May 20.
A press release received here stated that the delegation, led by NHSRC Executive Director Maj Gen (Prof) Atul Kotwal, included senior consultants Dr Ajay Kumar Arya, Dr. Devajit Bora, and Bhaswat Das.
The officials focused on understanding Nagaland’s communitization process of healthcare delivery and inspected Khonoma's status as a Tobacco-Free Village. They held discussions village council, HCMC/JAS, community leaders, women group, ASHA and Anganwadi workers.
The team assessed service delivery at Khonoma Primary Health Centre. NHSRC team along with State officials from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare (DoHFW) and District team also visited Rusoma HWC where thet interacted with Goanburas, Village Chairman, Elders, Women group, HWC staff and ASHAs.
Later in Kohima, the delegation reviewed progress at the Nagaland Institute of Medical Science & Research before meeting with senior state health officials including the Health Secretary, Principal Director, and NHM Mission Director at DoHFW.
