Nicolas Cage's son Weston in hospital for 'mental evaluation'

Nicholas Cage's son Weston has been taken to hospital for a mental evaluation just six weeks after getting married.  The 20-year-old black metal rock musician was taken to a Beverly Hills medical facility by ambulance, where he may now be subject to a 5150 psychiatric hold, sources told TMZ. His Oscar winning father is said to be with him.
The 20-year-old, who married Nikki Williams back in April, was hospitalised after an incident this afternoon in Hollywood. Weston was in The Farmer's Kitchen when he had an altercation with his trainer, TMZ reports. Weston allegedly lost his temper after the trainer told him he could not eat something on the menu. Despite efforts by the trainer and an onlooker to calm Weston down, the musician continued to 'freak out.' Police arrived and threatened to taser Weston if he didn't obey orders.
According to TMZ, police were so worried Weston was unstable, they ended up strapping him to a gurney before he was taken to hospital for evaluation. Another informed TMZ that Weston had an argument with his wife this morning which caused her to storm out of the house.
Sources told the website that Weston's father Nicolas later arrived at the hospital having cleared his schedule. The actor is no stranger to troubles of his own, having been charged on April 15 after a public fight in which he allegedly 'assaulted' his wife Alice Kim and was so intoxicated he didn't know where he lived.
