Dimapur, March 16 (MExN): The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Nagaland will host a workshop titled “Proposal Writing, Research Grant Management and Research Ethics in Science and Technology” on March 21.
According to a press release, the workshop is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Government of India, under the PAIR initiative and aims to equip researchers with skills related to proposal development, grant management and research ethics.
The programme will feature resource persons from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, which is the “Hub” institution for the initiative. The delegation from IISc’s Department of Materials Engineering will include Satyam Suwas, Vikram Jayaram, Suryasarathi Bose, Praveen Kumar, T.A. Abinandanan, Ashok Raichur, Abhik Choudhury, and Sai Gautam Gopalakrishnan.
Rohit Kumar H.G., Grants Manager from the Office of Research Grants at IISc, will also participate and share inputs on professional grant administration.
Director of NIT Nagaland, A. Elayaperumal, will inaugurate the workshop at the institute’s Video Conference Hall.
The organisers stated that the workshop is designed to help faculty members and research scholars convert innovative ideas into fundable research proposals while addressing ethical standards in scientific research.
Organisers from IISc Bangalore and the NIT Nagaland ANRF-PAIR teams have invited members of the academic community to participate in the programme. Interested participants may register through the online portal available on the host institute’s website.
