Dimapur, June 18 (MExN): NITI Nagaland on June 18 celebrated its 26th Annual Day, marking its transformation from the erstwhile NIIT Dimapur Centre into an integrated ecosystem encompassing education, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
In a statement issued on the occasion, the institution said it has expanded its activities through NITI Academy for NEET and JEE coaching, NITI Technologies for IT, software and digital solutions, and the NITI Incubation Center for startup and entrepreneurship development.
The institution said the transformation reflects its commitment to preparing young people for future opportunities through technology-driven education and skill development. It added that the presence of eight IIT alumni as faculty members for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics has strengthened STEM education and preparation for medical and engineering careers.
According to the statement, NITI has contributed to the career development of thousands of students and professionals over the past two-and-a-half decades, many of whom have gone on to become engineers, entrepreneurs, IT professionals, government officers and innovators across India and abroad.
Managing Director Ajay Sethi, in his message, said the 26th Annual Day was a celebration of lives touched, careers created and dreams supported.
He said the institution's original objective of bringing quality technology education closer to the youth of Nagaland had gradually expanded into creating opportunities in science education, competitive examinations, information technology, innovation and entrepreneurship.
Sethi expressed gratitude to parents, schools, institutions, government departments, industry partners and well-wishers for their continued support and said the institution would continue working towards empowering the youth of Nagaland.
Chief Executive Officer Er Rishav Sethi said the new generation requires new-age education that bridges school education, professional skills, technology and entrepreneurship.
He said NITI Academy would continue strengthening STEM education and supporting students preparing for NEET, JEE and other competitive examinations, while NITI Technologies would promote software development, digital skills and innovation. The NITI Incubation Center, he added, would encourage young entrepreneurs to convert ideas into startups.
Highlighting the potential of students from Dimapur, Kohima, Chümoukedima, Wokha and other parts of Nagaland, he said they could compete nationally and globally with the right guidance and exposure.
Rishav Sethi also lauded the institution's faculty, mentors, trainers, counsellors, administrators and support staff, describing them as the driving force behind NITI's growth and success.
He said the institution's next phase of development would focus on strengthening STEM education, expanding NEET and JEE preparation, promoting innovation, enhancing digital skills and supporting youth entrepreneurship with the vision of making Nagaland a stronger destination for education, technology and innovation.
