Kohima, July 20 (MExN): Workshops under the NITI TARA (Toolkits for Analysis, Review and Action) initiative concluded successfully in Nagaland's Kiphire Aspirational District and Khongsa Aspirational Block on July 17 and 18, respectively, with an emphasis on strengthening evidence-based planning and monitoring.
The district-level workshop was chaired by NITI TARA nodal officer for Kiphire, Takatemjen Pongen, while the block-level session in Khongsa was chaired by Aspirational Block Fellow Ningsangwu. Rajesh Mandal of EdCIL, Guwahati, served as the resource person for both workshops.
The programme began with a video message from NITI Aayog Chief Executive Officer Nidhi Chhibber, followed by an introduction of participating officers.
Officials were briefed on the NITI TARA initiative and its Toolkits for Analysis, Review and Action, which are designed to support data-driven planning, monitoring and decision-making in aspirational districts and blocks.
The interactive sessions focused on developing practical skills in data analysis, review mechanisms and action planning. Heads of departments at the district level and block-level officials participated in the workshops, facilitating cross-departmental discussions on local priorities, developmental gaps and strategies for improving governance.
Participants also identified follow-up measures to integrate NITI TARA tools into routine planning and monitoring processes.
The workshops concluded with district and block officials committing to implement the agreed action plans and continue collaborating with NITI TARA facilitators for technical support and capacity building.
