Dimapur, March 10 (MExN): The Niuland Area Citizens’ Forum and various organizations under Niuland expressed gratitude to Relo T. Aye SDPO Dimapur for delivering early justice in connection with the assault incident involving Isak Zhimomi, President, NACF and DEF mobile party on February 23, 2012 at around 6:30 pm. This was stated in a press release issued by Pekington Y. Zhimo, Press Secretary, Niuland Area Citizens’ Forum.
As per the meeting held on March 9, 2012 at the office of Superintendent of Police Dimapur, Nagaland between the various organizations under the banner of the Niuland Area Citizens’ Forum, it was agreed upon that on the basis of the three points memorandum submitted by NAFC, the medical expenses (which is a part of the memorandum) incurred by Isak Zhimomi as a result of the assault would be borne by the office. Further, Relo T. Aye SDPO Dimapur stated that “Exampary actions shall be initiated against the erring police personnel and I will see that such unwarranted acts by the police personnel shall never be repeated in the future.”
NACF also expressed gratitude to the various NGO bodies viz Western Sumi Students’ Union, Ato Area GB Association, New Colony Purana Bazaar Youth and the council and every single individual who rendered priceless support towards the success of the forum. NACF and the entire people of Niuland also expressed gratitude to the local dailies for providing exclusive media coverage, without which the delivery of early justice would not have been possible, stated the press note.
