Niuland, April 19 (MExN): A district-level stakeholder consultative workshop on Viksit Nagaland 2047 was held at the DC’s conference hall in Niuland on April 18.
Deputy Commissioner T L Kiusumong Tikhir, in his welcome address, outlined the aims of the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission, which envisions India as a fully developed nation by 2047, coinciding with 100 years of independence.
Highlighting that Niuland is a newly created district, he said it would face several challenges and urged officials, civil society organisations and NGOs to actively contribute to the mission.
Sectoral assessment overviews were presented by line departments covering five key pillars — economic, social, environmental, infrastructure and governance.
Participants also took part in breakout group discussions, followed by presentations, an open forum and closing remarks. The programme was chaired by Omegali, EAC Niuland.
