Dimapur, June 30 (MExN): Niuland Town Development Committee (NTDC) members along with GBs of Niuland town inspected various ongoing development projects at Niuland town on June 30.
The team visited construction of approach road and discussed about the need to facilitate enough space for future expansion. They also visited another approach road where a culvert is being constructed and expressed the need to further elevate the culvert to a desired level, stated a joint press note issued by GB Shiwoto Zhimo, GB Hotovi Chophy and GB Vikheto Awomi.
Inspecting the ongoing construction of waiting shed at Niuland town cemetery, the committee members and GBs deliberated on various aspects and ideas to beautify the cemetery and initiate other development activities there.
All the three projects are undertaken under the Municipal Affairs Department. GBs of Niuland Town thanked Minister PHED, Jacob Zhimomi under whose initiative Town Council status was accorded to Niuland and who took initiative in facilitating the ongoing projects in Niuland even during pandemic. They also appreciated ADC Niuland, Athrila S who is the Chairperson of NTDC for actively supervising the developmental activities in Niuland town.
All the three projects are progressing satisfactorily and the GBs of Niuland town assures the government authorities of our support and cooperation towards any developmental projects in Niuland town.
