NLA former State Chaplain Rev K Luruo no more

Kohima, January 24 (MExN): The Rev K Luruo the former State Chaplain, Nagaland Legislative Assembly has passed away at CIHSR, Chümoukedima on January 24. 

In condolence message the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said, “A loyal servant of God, Rev Luruo also served as Education Secretary, NBCC and Executive Secretary CBCC.” Rio said, “We worked closely during his tenure as the State Chaplain, and I found him to be passionate and committed to his calling. He was also an untiring advocate of unity and brotherhood among the Naga communities.”

Indeed, the spiritual lessons he had given to the legislators during his dedicated service as the State Chaplain will always be remembered and cherished, the CM stated. 

His demise is a huge loss for the Naga society, in general, and the Chakhesang community in particular. “However, let us thank God for his remarkable life and ministry. May his good works inspire all those who knew him and it is my prayer that you find comfort in the knowledge that he will continue to live on through the hearts of those he had touched,” he added. 

“In this hour of grief, I on behalf of the State Government convey deepest condolences to the bereaved family and we pray to God Almighty to give them strength, and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. May the departed soul rest in eternal peace,” the CM added.
