Kohima, January 27 (MExN): Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has alleged that the Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) resolution on “Solution before Election” is responsible for the present confusion.
“The NLA unanimously resolved demanding ‘Solution before Election’ on December 15, 2017. Now, NGOs, Tribal Hohos and civil societies have come in support of the Assembly resolution. All NPGs are in support of NLA resolution. All political parties excepting NPF and BJP have assured support to the State Assembly resolution,” K. Therie, NPCC president stated in a press statement
“We must learn from ULB election…Today it is about 93 years old political movement which has taken tens of thousands of lives, health and wealth,” the statement added. “20 years of negotiation is enough. People are tired and fed up of paying 10 governments. Any agitation on the issue may rise to a magnitude that may be difficult to control,” it said.
Stating that unknown retaliations may lead to massacre of public if there is confrontation between public and the government, NPCC asserted that the State government must take up the issue with the Government of India.
