Dimapur, December 2 (MExN): The Nagaland Medicine Dealers Association (NMDA) has appealed for the completion of black-topping of the road under the constituency of MLA Tovihoto Ayemi before Christmas to ensure smooth traffic flow and accessibility during the festive season.
In a press note issued on December 1, NMDA said the request was made “to ensure smooth traffic flow and accessibility for all residents and visitors during this joyous time,” noting that the holiday period sees increased vehicular movement in Dimapur.
The Association also expressed its gratitude to the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, for revising traffic regulations within the city as per the advisory issued on November 26, 2025. It specifically appreciated the designation of the route from Deluxe Point to Holy Cross Police Point and vice versa as two-way traffic.
Further, NMDA acknowledged a Dimapur Municipal Council member for the demolition of an illegal structure below the flyover and converting the area into parking space, stating that the initiative has enhanced traffic management and safety.
“We believe that these measures will contribute to better traffic management, road safety, and a disciplined commuting environment for all in Dimapur,” NMDA stated.
