NNC flays “immoral activity”

Dimapur, October 24 (MExN): The NNC today expressed condemnation for what it called “immoral activity by some Naga girls in the homeland and in other places.” Nonetheless, the underground organization also cautioned “all those who exploit Naga girls for such immoral activity for pleasure and money.”

A note from “Information & Publicity Wing”, NNC, but without mention of the faction, was received here today. “The NNC condemned all the immoral activity by some Naga girls in the homeland and in other places. But at the same time the NNC warn all those who exploit Naga girls for such immoral activity for pleasure and money. Even if anything happen to them also that will be their own responsibility of their immoral action of exploitation, illegal profit, moral and health hazard in the society.”

According to the NNC note, the Naga girls who engage and “practice immoral activity” ought to be ‘severely punished’ for, what was claimed, “tarnishing the good image of Naga moral and patriotic values and causing degradation of Naga society at large.”

On October 26 rally
On other matters, the note expressed ‘concern’ at the proposed “public rally organized by some NGOs on 26th Oct. at Dimapur in support of only one Naga group’s stand…”

It will create “more confusion and hamper the peace and unity process,” the note asserted.  The organizers of the rally are advised to “think twice before taking any step at this very crucial stage of peace and unity in the land for the larger and best interest of all and whole Naga  people.”
