Dimapur, December 28 (MExN): Naga National Council (NNC) Parent Body, Zeliangrong Region (ZLR-R) (AMN) has sought public support and co-operation towards the Indo-Naga Peace talk with the Government of India led by 6 NNPGs W/C and NSCN (IM). The MIP Cell, NNC (Parent Body) and ZLR-R (AMN) through a press statement acknowledged the effort of Nagaland GB Federation (NGBF) and Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) for tirelessly working for Nagas' unity and peace.
The statement also welcomed NSCN (K) led by Khango and Isak Sumi group for joining in the mainstream at the right time. The NNC (Parent Body) and Zeliangrong Region (AMN) further urged all the “Nagas to pray for the Naga leaders and the Indian top leaders for God’s wisdom in solving the Naga political issue at the earliest possible time with the hope that New Year 2019 be the year of glory for Nagas.” It once again called for peaceful co-existence, mutual understanding, non-violence and to stop bloodshed in the Naga family particularly NSCN (IM) and ZUF for peaceful living in the civilized world.
Meanwhile the two bodies dedicated a Bible passage of renewal and hope to the Nagas for the coming year: "Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:18-19). It wished the people a happy new year.
