This is to inform the public in general not to be confused because we the finance committee members including different dignitaries rank & files consisting of 22 members conducted a meeting on dated 26-05-2012 and a anonymously agreed and endorsed the NNC Defence Army Lt. Colonel Kheniho Achumy to carry out the works including Challan Receipt without any hesitation. The works carried by Lt. Colonel Kheniho Achumy is not against the will of the Naga National Council nor for his personal benefit, therefore he should not be suspended as published on dated 29-06-23 press release.
With regard to the news item appeared on Nagaland post on Friday 29th June under the caption “One suspended from NNC” the Naga National Council (NNC) UT-1 would like to clarify that the press statement release to one NK Assumi does not have anything to do with NNC. Since N K Assumi has already been suspended on 24th June 2012 by staff of NNC UT-1 on the order of General Secretary V Naga and 1/13 majority decision of NNC members. As alleged by NK Assumi that Lieut. Col. Kheniho was suspended for his illegal involvement in printing of Challan and misusing of MIP power is illogical because Lieut. Col. Kheniho was simply carrying out the order of the NNC Finance Committee and MIP orders.
Therefore the suspensions order and subsequent press release issued to Lieut Col. Kheniho Assumi is declared null and void by NNC. Further as stated by NK Assumi relating to his suspension press release which appeared in some local dailies on 24th June which he claimed was release by some vested person was genuinely release by NNC MIP and not by vested individual as claimed.
Sincerely
NNC MIP
