NNC responds to former gen secy statement

Dimapur, April 21 (MExN): Replying to the press statement made by former general secretary of NNC, V Nagi against the NNC published on March 21, the NNC has stated that it should not be used “in the tune of misleading” the public .
The NNC in a rejoinder issued by MIP, CEC said that some “sympathizers - (The patriotism of Nagas) had set aside” Rs 5 lakhs to NNC members as a sign of brotherly relationship/friendship. The fund was meant for emergency use before “NNC’s financial position stability”. “Vizoselhou, heard of this gift from the core-committee members he clearly stated that, it is good of they can give us then I can go out for foreign mission with that amount,” it stated.
However, after around three weeks the “sympathizers” could afford Rs 1 lakh only for NNC core –committee members “for to and fro”.  The note stated that when V Nagi heard about the money, he became “madly enraged and shouted-why you people go around asking for money? Are you not ashamed? It is shame etc”.
Responding to V Nagi’s reaction, the core committee members took the money from the sympathizers and distributed the amount. V Nagi was also given his “lion share” and other members were also given their share, "in which he became furious and roar up at the top and ran away saying, you; Kiumakum –Chur Chur (thief, thief) etc. without accepting his lion share too. This was the beginning points of misunderstanding and caused division among the group for he could not pocket the whole amount."
Retorting further, the note said that if the “writer on 21/4/2011”, say that NNC was not a policy matters but of money matters and termed it as "shameful" .
The note also added that as mentioned on April 21, the regional members names stated were not known by “its own regional/tribe persons”. Further, Kiheto Sumi is not an appointed regional president of Sumi region but Ghosuho Sumi is the president till date.
