DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 7 (MExN): The Federal Government of Nagaland (FGN) has issued a statement expressing concern over a recent directive released under the authority of Brig. (Retd) S. Singnya, who was impeached by the Tatar Hoho on October 25.
The statement, circulated by the Ministry of Information and Publicity (MIP) of NNC/FGN, advised the public to disregard any directives associated with Singnya's administration, questioning its legitimacy.
According to the NNC/FGN, Singnya not only refused to acknowledge the Tatar Hoho’s impeachment decision but also appointed new Kilonsers (ministers), including G. Zhimomi as Kilonser of the Ministry of Chaplee Affairs.
The NNC/FGN voiced particular concern over Zhimomi’s appointment, citing his ongoing employment as a government servant under the Directorate of School Education, Nagaland. Zhimomi, identified as Ghuvishe V. Zhimomi (also known as Ghuvishe Sema), is a graduate teacher posted at Government High School, Saptiqa, with an employment record beginning January 2, 2008, the FGN stated.
It further criticized Zhimomi’s "audacity" in holding dual roles within both the state government and Singnya’s faction, describing this as an "unauthorized" act that could mislead the public.
The FGN called upon the public to question the legitimacy of Singnya’s actions and further urged the Directorate of School Education (DoSE) and the state government to consider disciplinary measures against Zhimomi. The NNC/FGN emphasized the importance of distinguishing official communications from their organization and disavowed any association with the directives issued by Singnya's group.
