Dimapur, February 13 (MExN): The NNC/GDRN (N-A) today expressed shock over the sudden and untimely demise of its comrades and friend Shitoho Chophy, Ato Kilonser NPGN NNC and Co-Convenor of NNPGs, who passed away on February 12.
According to the official MIP update, it stated that Nagas have lost a tall leader and a true warrior, who gave his everything for the cause of the Nagas.
The update described him as a man of principle and integrity, while asserting that his selfless sacrifices and valuable contribution for our Naga National cause will be impelled in the history of Naga Nation.
The NNC/GDRN (N-A) conveyed its sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family members and relatives, and prays that the Lord Almighty God give strength and courage at these hours of sorrow.
Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF)
The Nagaland Gaon Bura Federation (NGBF) has expressed deep sadness over the demise of Shitoho Chophy, Co-Convener of WC, NNPGs, General Secretary of NNC/NPGN, (non- accordist) and successor of Late Hozheto Chophy of Zuheshe Village, Niuland.
An update from the NGBF media cell described him as a young and promising leader who served the Naga nation with dedication and commitment until his last breath, adding that his gentle and decent personality reflected the true qualities of leadership.
With his demise, the NGBF asserted that the Naga political movement has lost a dynamic leader whose contributions were significant and invaluable, stating “the vacuum created by his untimely departure at this crucial juncture will be deeply felt by one and all.”
The NGBF conveyed its condolences to the bereaved family and prays that the Almighty grant them strength and comfort in this hour of grief.
