No dilution of Feb 5 MoA: ENPO reaffirms stand

Tuensang, June 2 (MExN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organization (ENPO) has unanimously resolved to uphold the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) signed between the Government of India, Government of Nagaland and ENPO on February 5, 2026, and remain fully committed to its implementation without any dilution.

The resolution was passed during a consultative meeting convened by the ENPO at its conference hall in Tuensang on June 2, with various political party leaders of different levels on June 2 at the ENPO conference hall, Tuensang, where office bearers of National, State, and district and regional level - hailing from Eastern Nagaland were present. 

According to a statement issued by the ENPO Media Cell, the house arrived at the decision after a comprehensive update on the status of the MoA. The resolution also reaffirmed the provisions of an earlier resolution adopted on April 16, 2026, during a consultative and coordination meeting with the Eastern Naga National Worker’s Forum (ENNWF).

The meeting further resolved that leaders of all political parties from Eastern Nagaland shall shoulder responsibilities through their respective party platforms to ensure the implementation and materialisation of the MoA without further delay.

In the event of failure to implement the MoA, the house unanimously resolved that political party leaders under Eastern Nagaland shall respond to the call of the ENPO and stand together in the greater public interest of Eastern Nagaland.
