Youth Resources & Sports advisor and Kohima DPDB chairman Er. Zale Neikha today graced the golden jubilee celebration of Sakhabama Youth Organization at Sakhabama under Kohima district.

Speaking on the occasion, he said the PDA government in Nagaland could provide a stable government under the chief ministership of Neiphiu Rio.
Stating that employment avenue in the government sector is limited, he said no government would be able to provide employment to all the educated youth of the state.

Taking into context of the statistical report of Nagaland, Er. Zale said that Nagaland University produces an average 2800 graduates per year while an average of 14,000 candidates apply for NPSC exam every year for 300 vacancies in various departments in the state.

To this, he said an average of 13,700 candidates were left unemployed in the state every year.

He called upon the youth to be sincere, innovative and strive hard for earning and sustaining one’s life, rather than depending on the state for job opportunities.

Also stressing on the need to preserve and promote the rich cultural heritage, Er. Neikha reminded the youth to take keen interest in practicing and learning the art of folk dance, folk song and indigenous games before all of it is lost.

In sports, he reminded that Nagas are no less than anyone and has the potential to excel and make a mark.

He reminded the youth to choose the discipline according to their physics and interest, rather than involving in all discipline of sports.
