Kohima, March 26 (MExN): The Department of Food & Civil Supplies, Government of Nagaland has informed that there is no shortage of LPG, both domestic and commercial, or other petroleum products in the State at present.
In a notification, the Department stated that adequate stocks are being maintained by Oil Marketing Companies and supply lines are functioning normally.
In view of unverified information circulating regarding possible shortages, the Department urged the public not to panic or resort to hoarding of LPG cylinders or fuel, stating that such practices may disrupt the distribution system and cause inconvenience.
The Department advised citizens to rely only on official communications and not to spread unverified messages through social media or informal channels, stating that rumours can lead to panic and affect public order.
It also directed Deputy Commissioners and concerned authorities to monitor the situation in their respective districts to ensure uninterrupted supply and distribution, prevent hoarding and black marketing, and maintain prescribed prices.
The Department reiterated that sufficient stocks are available and urged citizens to cooperate with authorities.
