Dimapur, January 8 (MExN): Former Journalist Noel Manuel has passed away January 8, at around 8PM at his residence in Diphupar village in Dimapur, after suffering a stroke and failing to recover from a consequent coma. Manuel was also the director of Dimensions Institute for Education & Research, an institution he set up to teach the phonetics after a career-shift from journalism.
Sources informed late night that Manuel had suffered a massive stroke on January 6 and had been in critical condition, lapsing into a coma from which he never recovered. A student leader from Diphupar village informed this night that a group of leaders from student and youth organizations in Diphupar had visited Manuel at Zion Hospital Sunday afternoon, January 8. He was still in coma then, the source said. Around 8 PM, reports were received that the former Journalist had passed away, the source said. It is understood that he was taken home where he breathed his last. Relatives of the deceased’s family could not be reached at the time of filing this news report.
