Noklak, July 15 (MExN): Peshu Nyukya village under Thonoknyu sub-division of Noklak district became the first village in the district to be 100% vaccinated. Covid vaccination for all eligible beneficiaries above 18 years of age was completed on the July 15, a DIPR report stated.
A special intensified vaccination drive has been initiated by District Administration and Medical department of the Sub-division spearheaded by the District Task Force, Noklak.
The achievement of the milestone in vaccination is expected to be a trendsetter for other villages amidst confusion and apprehension regarding the vaccine due to false information and rumours, the report stated.
Special intensified testing camp
In an effort to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and in view of positive cases reported in Noklak town areas, the District Task Force, Noklak on July 15 with the participation of sector chairman, GBs and other prominent personalities, conducted a special intensified testing camp in all the eleven sectors of Noklak town to identified those who may have contacted COVID-19 virus.
A total of 495 persons were tested as per house to house survey and six COVID-19 cases have been identified.
