Noklak SHGs urged to start supply of organic products 

Noklak, April 13 (MExN): In commemoration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav cum 73rd Republic Day 2022 Block Mission Management Unit, RD Block Noklak organized Financial Inclusion Mela under the aegis of Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission at the White Hall, Noklak Village on April 13.

EAC Noklak HQ, Kathyinla said to uplift the social economy of the society, SHGs should perform, hard work and try to start something different in the form of businesses like detergent and candle making in the district. Seeing the potential of organic products in the district, she encouraged to start the supply of organic products outside of the district, a DIPR report stated. 

The EAC encouraged young girls to take up the job of tailoring, parlour, and catering services in the district. “All women should work hard to be financially independent by getting the benefits from all schemes that are provided by the Government,” Kathyinla said. Being the first of its kind to conduct Financial Inclusion Mela in the district, she hoped that it will greatly benefit the district people.

BDO Cum BMM Noklak Namsung Phom shared the importance of Aadhaar and a bank account to get the benefits of getting government schemes. While encouraging the SHGs, Phom encouraged them to continue working on income-generating sectors and endeavor to uplift socio economic conditions of the district.

Supervisor Social Welfare Department Noklak, Hemping spoke on National Social Assistance Programme such as IGNOAPS, IGNWPS, IGNDPS, and NPBS schemes. And under the Integrated Child Development Services, Hemping elaborated on Supplementary Nutrition, Pre-school non-formal education, Immunization, Referral services, Health check-up, and Nutrition & Health education. He talked about Rashtriya Poshan Abhiyaan, PMMVY, and shared the hygienic awareness of adolescent girls.

Talk on Bank was delivered by SBI, Noklak Bank staff, Worreithing Ruivah. He shared on PMJJBY, and PMSBY schemes-its benefits and eligibility. Worreithing explained savings account, recurrent account, fixed deposit, Public Provided Fund, and Atal Pension Yojana.

District Coordinator, Health/SHA Noklak Mono spoke on AB-PMJAY where he explained in detail Ayushman Bharat- its criteria and benefits of the scheme.

Keynote on FI Mela was spoken by DC MIS NSRLM, Tuensang Bujong. The programme was chaired by Area Co-ordinator (FI) Khulem Khiamniungan, the welcome note was given by BPM Noklak S Chillio Khiamniungan while the vote of thanks was delivered by AC, SI/SD Khuno Khiamniungan.

Meanwhile, facilitation of various programmes & Schemes like SBI A/C opening for individuals and New SHGs, Loan form filling up/ sanctioning, Insurance enrollment in PMJJBY-PMSBY &APY, and Enrollment in AB-PMJAY were conducted during the occasion.
