Tuensang, November 29 (MExN): The Sungsang Kongtong Society, Noksen village celebrated silver jubilee with Thungjanbemo, ADC, Tuensang as the special guest and Dr Y Alen, Pastor, Noksen Baptist Lashong as speaker at Noksen Village in Tuensang district on November 29.
The all-female society formed to promote and educate folksongs and folk dances youngsters started in the year 1997 with the motto ‘A vision for future generation.’
The programme was chaired by Tolim, Christian Education Director, Noksen Baptist Lashong and I Rongsenlemla, Teacher while the invocation prayer was pronounced by E Yanger, Deacon, Noksen Baptist Lashong.
Unveiling of souvenir and dedicatory prayer was pronounced by P Amenla, President, Noksen Union Sao Thangjam, Noksen Town.
Short speeches were delivered by the special guest, S Yongsen, President, Noksen Citizen and S Yongkongchingmak, Council Chairman, Noksen Village.
A Chang Naga folk song was performed by Ongipang Club, Noksen and Anenla, Associate Women Pastor led a prayer to remember the departed souls of the society.
Vote of thanks was delivered by M Tangla and benediction prayer was spoken by Aoliken Imlong, Associate Pastor Youth.
