The medal tally of the Nagaland team at the ongoing 2nd North East Olympic Games 2022 in Shillong now stands at 60 as of November 15.
Nagaland’s haul includes Gold- 16, Silver- 13 and Bronze- 31 as on November 15 till 4:00 PM. They comprise of Archery- 2 Silver and 1 Bronze, Athletics- 9 Gold, 4 Silver and 10 Bronze, Badminton- 1 Silver and 3 Bronze, Judo- 1 Gold, Karate- 1 Bronze, Table Tennis- 2 Bronze, Taekwondo- 3 Gold, 1 Silver and 6 Bronze, Weightlifting- 1 Silver, Wrestling – 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze and Wushu- 6 Bronze.
Bongtang Phom to be Nagaland flag bearer
Bongtang Phom will be the flag bearer of the Nagaland Contingent at the Closing Ceremony of the 2nd North East Olympic Games 2022 at Shillong, Meghalaya.
This was informed in a press release from the Nagaland Olympics Association. Phom hails from Longleng district. He won a Gold Medal at the Games in Wrestling in the 57 Kg category.
