A five day long Northeast Advenduro Nagaland Edition-X 2026 was flagged off today from Kohima.

Ten riders from Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Manipur joined this motorcycle expedition, which will culminate on January 30.

Vilika Peseyie, Assistant Director, Nagaland Tourism flagged off the event as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Peseyie said the motorcycle rally, covering several districts of Nagaland, reflects the spirit of adventure while showcasing the state’s immense tourism potential.

She stated that the rally is more than just an endurance ride and serves as a powerful platform to promote local tourism.

Emphasising the importance of community participation, she said that the promotion of homestays at every stop along the route will help ensure that tourism benefits reach local communities directly, while also encouraging visitors to explore destinations beyond conventional tourism circuits.

She added that the initiative is expected to strengthen community-based tourism by empowering local youth, guides, artisans and small entrepreneurs, and position Nagaland as a promising hub for adventure and experiential tourism.

Commending the organisers for the visionary initiative, Peseyie expressed confidence that the event would leave a lasting impact on tourism development in the state, while also promoting safe and responsible travel.
