NOVO- Winner of Ticket to Hornbill- India’s Biggest Band Battle 2025

The stage came alive at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, as the much-anticipated “Ticket to Hornbill- India’s Biggest Band Battle, 2025” culminated in a spectacular grand finale on October 18.
After days of intense performances, Novo from Assam emerged as the champion, capturing the hearts of both judges and audiences with their electrifying set.

Juxtaposed from Bengaluru claimed the title of 1st Runner-Up, while Akhanda from Sikkim secured the position of 2nd Runner-Up, each delivering powerhouse performances that showcased the diverse and thriving independent music scene across India.
The winner received Rs. 20 lakh while 1st and 2nd Runner- up awarded with Rs. 10 lakh and Rs. 5 lakh respectively.
Top three winners earned the opportunity to perform at the upcoming 26th Edition of the Hornbill Music Festival 2025 in December.

The competition also celebrated individual excellence in musicianship with the following special awards: Best Keyboardist: Akhanda (Sikkim), Best Drummer: Novo (Assam), Best Bassist: Juxtaposed (Bengaluru), Best Guitarist: Akhanda (Sikkim), Best Vocalist: Stereo Groove (Nagaland).
Additionally, the evening featured Choice Awards from leading music brands recognizing outstanding talent.
Sennheizer Choice Award: Thunder’s Cave (Meghalaya) and Ibanez Choice Awards: SoHumble (Delhi) and Mood Station (Mizoram).

The event not only amplified emerging artists but also strengthened the vision of Task Forces for Music & Arts (TaFMA)- to make Nagaland a vibrant hub of music and creative arts in India.
Judges for grand finale included; Mrinmoyee Goswami, Booma, Obed Kath and Subir Malik. The judges for live audition were Wati Imchen, Akhito Kinimi, Mhademo Ennio and Obed Kath.

Ticket to Hornbill was presented by Bhikharam Chandmal-North East and hosted by TaFMA-Government of Nagaland.
K3M performed at the event as a guest appearance.
