Kohima, August 13 (MExN): In order to ascertain bonafide pensioners in the state and drawal of pension, a coordination meeting was held on July 28 last at Orchid Hotel Kohima with the chief manager (administration) SBI, deputy manager SBI, Regional Office, Dimapur, all the branch managers of SBI Kohima district along with the Kohima District Pensioners’ Association and Nagaland Pensioners’ Association.
The meeting decided that henceforth submission of life certificate by the pensioners/family pensioners should be routed through the District Pensioners Association with the countersigned of the president or secretary of the concerned district.
In this connection, all the presidents and secretaries of all the District Pensioners Association have been requested to get their signature attested from their respective DC’s to enable them to countersign the life certificate.
“This time it has come down heavily because many pensioners/family pensioners are still continuously drawing their pension without getting registration from the District Pensioners Association office which is mandatory,” the NPA said in a release, adding that as a result of this the NPA headquarter office is unable to collect genuine and correct figures of pensioners/family pensioners in the state.
The Association requested all the pension disbursing authorities like treasury officers, branch managers, SBI and other nationalized bank managers who are dealing with pension payment cases not to accept/entertain life certificate from the pensioners /family pensioners without the counter signature of the president or secretary of the concerned District Pensioners Association.
The Association hoped that all concerned will give their full cooperation for removing irregularities in the state in the interest of general public and in particular to NPA.
