NPCC thanks teachers

Dimapur, September 5 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) on Sunday paid tribute to teachers for transforming and advancing the world.

“They are the ones who ignite minds and motivate students enabling them to invent and advance. I thank them for the commitment and mission,” NPCC President K Therie stated in a message to teachers on the occasion of Teachers Day.

“Every institution is with a mission to teach the past, the present and the future. It is not only the teachers but every institution including political parties that are expected to teach and lead to the right path,” he added.

While noting that things are going wrong in the society not because of the teachers, but because of the institutions that work to fulfill ‘selfish desires’, Therie said that “It is wrong to accept the selfish demands of instinct.”

Terming ‘free gifts, free money and free food’ as the root causes of corruption, he said that when the majority gets accustomed to free gifts, the instinct of ‘I want more’ takes advantage.

Alleging the presence of many society leaders gifted with flags of bribery, Therie asserted that, “Every sensible citizen must teach what is right and what is wrong according to religion and the law of the land.”
