
Dimapur, August 25 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) has announced that it will hold a public rally under the slogan ‘Vote Chor, Gaddi Chhod’ on Wednesday, August 27 at 10:00 AM at IMC Hall, Supply Colony, Dimapur.
In a press statement, the NPCC said the objective of the rally is to raise public awareness about the “ongoing assaults on citizens’ electoral rights” and to demand accountability from those entrusted with safeguarding the sanctity and neutrality of the electoral process in the country.
“NPCC firmly believes that democracy thrives when citizens actively participate and raise their voices against injustice and corruption. Therefore, we extend a warm invitation to all citizens of Nagaland, regardless of party affiliation, age, or background, to join this collective movement for truth and justice,” the statement read.
The party said that the presence of the public will “strengthen the call for transparency and fairness in the electoral process.” “Every vote counts. Every voice matters. Together, let us defend democracy and uphold the rights of the people,” the NPCC added.
