Kohima, January 7 (MExN): The Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) will hold a protest on Thursday, January 8 against the repealing of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). The demonstration will take place at Congress Bhavan, Kohima at 11:00 am.
According to an update, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, Member of Parliament and chairperson of the Standing Committee on Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, will deliver the keynote address. NPCC President and MP, S Supongmeren Jamir, will give the presidential address. The programme will be chaired by Khriedi Theunuo, Working President of the NPCC. The vote of thanks will be proposed by fellow Working President, C. Apok Jamir.
