The NPF 15th Southern Angami – II is compelled to issue this statement in response to the caption “Rejoinder to NPF press and media bureau statement” issued by one Shri. Sevotso Seyie, PCC Member and was published in the local dailies on 14th July, 2012. The NPF 15th S.A. II A/C would like to once again clarify the false and baseless stories of the Congress.
That the Congress party has the habit of confusing the public on the verge of every general election and with this sole motive Shri. Sevotso Seyie has issue press statements alleging in 2003 during election campaign at Viswema village the present Chief Minister had made promises to bring Naga Political settlement within three months time if the NPF is voted to power. The allegation of the Congress party on this issue was clarified several times in the earlier occasions by the Party (NPF) and Chief Minister himself that such alleged statements were never made by the Chief Minister in any public speech either during election campaign or in any other program, this position was made loud and clear from the day Congress brought this false allegation. Therefore, it is very unfortunate to know that Shri. Sevotso Seyie is still ignorant about this fact and continuously expressing his own personal imagination/
That it is reiterated that NPF led DAN government has committed to work for negotiated solution acceptable to all sections of the society to the decades old Naga political problem by playing a role of active facilitator, and in order to achieve this commitment, the NPF led DAN had created a conducive atmosphere for the peace process during the last nine years which is acknowledged by the Congress led UPA government at the centre, and at no point of time the NPF led DAN had sabotaged or tried to sabotage/interfere with the on going peace process between the Government of India and our National workers. It is unbecoming for the matured Political party like the Congress party of Nagaland unit to play with Naga Political issue so cheaply in order to show its existences in the state politics.
That the NPF led DAN government had been efficiently running the affairs of the state in all fronts with a stable government and rendering best services for the welfare of the state and its people, and the party is optimistic that the people of Nagaland will give clear mandate to form the next government.
