Dimapur, December 20 (MExN): The rank and file of the Naga People's Front expressed deep shock on learning about the demise of C Khayi Nyekha, the senior-most General Secretary, late Friday night after a brief illness at Faith Hospital, Dimapur.
According to an NPF update, late Nyekha was actively involved and served the regional party with great dedication for the past 39 years under various capacities, adding that he was a man of principle who showed great concern for the party's upliftment and selflessly worked and contributed to the welfare of the party's growth.
“The party is deeply saddened by his demise, and the vacuum created by him will be difficult to replace. The party extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prays to the Almighty to grant solace to all his near and dear ones,” it stated.
