‘NPF determined to provide the best for Naga people’

Media & Press Bureau
NPF, Central HQ, Kohima: Nagaland

The acknowledgement by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) National Secretary cum spokesman Narendra Verma yesterday of the post-poll alliance that it has with the Naga People’s Front led by Dr Shurhozelie Liezietsu, should serve as an eye-opener to party rank and file of the NPF as well as the misled group of people at Hotel Legacy, Kohima, as to who the real and legal leader of the NPF party is.

It is a fact that the NCP, which won four seats in 2013, had been badly betrayed by its legislators when they defected to other political parties without any qualms. However, what more can be expected of individuals who do not have an iota of loyalty even to their own beliefs and principles, and whose idea of politics is more mercantile than social service?

The NPF’s alliance partner NCP in Nagaland under the young and dedicated President Mr Vanthungo Odyuo has a herculean task in the coming months to identify candidates who would not hesitate to sleep with the highest bidder as those in the world’s oldest profession are wont to.

The NPF party, being deeply rooted in the psyche and ethos of the Naga people, is determined to provide the best of its services to the Naga people and would naturally want its alliance partners to identify candidates who have integrity, loyalty and determination to serve the people, and not some habitual defectors and political tourists who have been tested and found wanting.
