Kohima | November 25: Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio strongly believed that the NPF led DAN is a youth friendly government and assured that the same approach will be continued.
Rio said since the time of when DAN came to run the government, it has focussed on youth by placing its confidence on the younger generation.
“Our programmes like the years of youth empowerment, of farmers, of capacity building, of entrepreneurship, etc have had a positive impact on the youth and the overall economy of the state,” Rio said in his address at the 6th general convention of Naga People’s Front (NPF) here Wednesday.
The chief minister asserted that young Nagas are making a mark at the international level in the fields of music, sports, fashion and art. “Our youth have risen above the ordinary, and they have inspired us to do more for them,” Rio said adding one can imagine how much more they can achieve if an atmosphere of peace with political clarity can be provided to them.
Meanwhile, the chief minister called upon all the youth to come forward and avail the opportunities that are being provided, to strive for their goals and ambitions, and to bring pride to the people and glory to the nation.
